\\ Bio //

Rivkah is a songwriter and performer whose music balances relatable experiences and emotional honesty, encouraging each listener to connect to deeper, universal messages.

She began her music career as a performer, trooping between prominent songwriter venues in New York City including the Living Room, Makor, and the Bitter End, where she was regularly invited to perform. Along the way, she teamed up with another singer to form Molly Pitcher, a folk/Americana duo. Their debut album, Watching the Rain, was chosen by Performing Songwriter Magazine as one of the Top 12 DIY albums of the year. Other honors for the act included selections as finalists at Peter Yarrow’s Kerrville New Folk Music contest and the Falcon Ridge Emerging Artist Showcase, as well as a featured performance at Hal David’s Songwriters Hall of Fame Showcase.

Following Molly Pitcher, Rivkah turned to chorale music to further explore her love of harmony. Notably, she was invited to join the prestigious Zamir Chorale, with whom she has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center accompanying such legendary performers as Theodore Bikel, Tom Chapin, and Cantor Alberto Mizrachi. As a member of Zamir, she was included in a PBS broadcast celebrating the life of Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

Rivkah has continued to write and record music in a career that has now spanned two decades. She is currently active in the Nashville music writing scene, working with esteemed songwriters and producers. The resulting songs bloom in an appealing range of styles and voices, all featuring the consistent through line of Rivkah’s crystal-clear insight.

Another song that rates right up there is "Unaware". It's just mesmerizing. Combine a simple song with a simple lyric, melody and harmony and you get a powerhouse of a song that adds up to more than the sum of it's parts.  - Nick Torres, Guitarnoise.com

"The songs are melodically sophisticated yet straightforward and call to mind most of the great female artists of the folk revolution.   - Clay Steakly, Performing Songwriter Magazine

"A music so true and unaffected that it reincarnates melody as high art. There is simply no saccharine here; Nothing sentimental and yet bitterness and cynicism are also strangely and welcomingly absent." - Akiva Daube, The Washington Square News
